Mario Rachiele completed advanced studies in accounting at the "Hautes Études Commerciales" (in Montreal) and later (when he came to his senses...) left the accounting world and earned a diploma in micro-processors and micro-computers from Teccart Institute.
He began his career 20 some-odd years ago, working in video production as a technical director, then an editor, then producer/director for a variety of innovative Quebec-based studios and production companies.
He discovered his passion for high-end digital special effects and computer animation in 1986 during which time he was Director of Operations at Groupe André Perry, until 1991...
In February 1993, he was the Founder and President of his own digital effects company, Montreal-based BIG BANG FX/Animation that grew to be one on the best effects houses in Canada, employing anywhere between 25 to 50 digital artists at any time.
He was Executive Producer for all of the company's projects for over 12 years. That is, until 2005, when he decided to leave behind the management and the equipment and concentrate entirely on the creative aspect of digital images... His passion and talent has always been in assembling the best creative teams of digital artists to design and create images that tell a story, (on time and on budget...). He has produced digital visual effects for feature films, IMAX films, tv series, tv commercials and special projects.
